Tutorial: Purple Smokey Eye with MAC 'Hug Me'

Hello beauties, Hope you all had a lovely weekend?
I am back with another eye makeup tutorial using purple and dark brown eye shadows to create a smokey eye suitable for a day look as well as an evening look. As I wore this during the day,I decided to keep the rest of my face very simple by using Sleek's 'Sahara' blush and MAC's 'Hug Me' lipstick but you can wear any lipstick you are comfortable with (pink lips will compliment this look perfectly for an evening look).
                                                    products used:

Face
Primer: Milk of Magnesia (MoM)
Foundation: Medium Coverage Foundation, Bronze 600 (Mary Kay)
Concealer: Select Cover-UP, NC45 (MAC)
Powder: Mineral Powder Foundation, Bronze 2 (MaryKay)

Contour: Face Contour Kit (Sleek Makeup)
Eyes

eyeshadow base: jumbo eye pencil, dark brown 602 (NYX)
transition colour: clove (FrontCover Reborn palette)
lid colours: dark purple '325' & dark brown '329' (Inglot)

Lower Lash Line: Supershock gel liner in Black (Avon)

Brows: Eyebrow Pencil, black brown (Rimmel); Brow kit (NYX)
Lips
Lip Pencil: soft brown(NYX) & Chestnut(MAC)
Lipstick: Hug me(MAC)

Step by Step eye-makeup Tutorial:
  1. apply an eye shadow primer all over your eye space including the brow bone.
  2. apply a dark brown eyeshadow base to the mobile lid and blend upwards towards the crease using your finger or a flat shading brush.
  3. use any brown eyeshadow closest to your skin tone as a transition colour and apply this in the space between your brow bone and your crease.
  4. press a deep purple eye shadow onto the dark brown base just in the middle of your lid and then a dark brown eye shadow on the outer corner.
  5. blend these two colours together using a fluffy blending brush to remove any harsh lines
  6. apply your highlight colour on your brow bone and the inner corners of your eyes
  7. line your upper and lower lash line using a black liquid liner or pencil and finally apply some mascara to your lashes(completely forgot this myself lol)and you are DONE.
hope you like this look as much as I loved it....

NOTW: Mint Green

Hey beauties,

Mint Green by Barry M is my chosen nail polish of the week. I've been wearing it for the past two weeks and I absolutely love it. It gives an opaque finish with two coats and lasts for a few days without any topcoat.

what are your thoughts on Barry M nail polishes? do you own Mint Green?

Wet n Wild Color Icon "Vanity" Palette + Swatches

Hey Lovelies, hope you all had a great weekend? A few weeks ago, the Wet n Wild color Icon Vanity Palette was included in a post I did as part of my "new additions" so I thought to start this week off by sharing with you beauties swatches of the colours from the palette.

There really is nothing bad I can say about this palette. As you can see, the shades are really pigmented (I mean really), not chalky, blends out easily with the right brush, lasts as long as you want it to  and doesn't crease when used with a good eye shadow primer (I use Urban Decay or Too Faced).

For us folks that live in the UK, you can purchase this from ebay as it is not sold here at all (well not that I know of) but am hearing it has been discontinued in the US so I guess this is the right time to buy before all the ebay sellers run out of stock lol. It is really affordable and great value for money; I purchased mine for less than £8 including p&p.

PS: there are three other palettes available (greed, Pride and Lust)

do you own any of the Wet n Wild palettes? If so, what are your thoughts on them?
if you don't, would you be making a purchase?

REVIEW: AVON IDEAL FLAWLESS INVISIBLE COVERAGE FOUNDATION

Hey Beauties!!!
How is everyone doing this week? Hope you had a great Easter weekend and didn't munch on too many Easter eggs?

The Ideal Flawless Invisible Coverage Foundation is the newest foundation released by Avon. It comes in 15 different shades, contains SPF 15 and is said to be a full-coverage foundation that creates a virtually undetectable veil of natural-looking flawless  perfection.

I wasn't quite sure about this foundation but decided to get one after receiving an email from Avon with a free delivery code. lol
Sidebar: Am I the only one who hates paying for delivery. Please tell me am not alone. ha!!
So my shade is Sable. Although their are 15 different shades available, only 3 shades are suitable for deeper/darker skin tones which is very disappointing.
Having said that, Sable is my perfect match. It blends into my skin seamlessly and magically disappears and definitely gives that natural looking flawless perfection.
I've been using this foundation daily since February and the first time I used it, I didn't like it at all but it has grown on me. It is definitely not a full coverage foundation, it gives me a light coverage which is build-able to medium coverage and since I like a lot more coverage I tend to build it up a lot.

It comes in a clear glass bottle, a pump and you get 30ml of product for £12.
I will definitely recommend this foundation; I think it is the perfect foundation for the spring/summer season as it is very lightweight and will let your skin shine through no matter how much product you use.

I know I've been M.I.A for a while but I'm back and I hope you lovelies didn't miss me too much.
